Hello, I'm not sure I  can describe this adequately but I will try. There is nothing wrong with the garage door opener. The problem is that the chain has become disconnected from the metal "arm" that allows the door to raise when the garage door opener is engaged.  I am able to open the door manually but cannot use the garage door opener.
