I'm looking to have a 2 ft. x 6 ft. hole cut out of an interior wall and to frame it.  The purpose is to allow more light to enter into a bedroom.  It's a straightforward job to cut out the drywall and studs to create the opening and then to frame it with 2.5" trim using white PVC boarding.  No electrical wires to deal with in the wall.  Also thinking of doing another cut out where a single glass pane would need to be installed in the cutout.   This would be 2 ft x 3 ft in size.
